If the world as a whole needed additional reminding that journalists are still facing peril and dangers to various degrees in many places, the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi has served this particular purpose well, at least for a time. Sadly, there can never be any happy ending to this saga, and many questions surrounding his brutal butchering remain unanswered; primarily due to geopolitics, many of those responsible in the highest echelons of Saudi Arabia’s government will never be brought to justice.
