Whenever possible, I try to raise various issues relating to journalism and the media. I want to do so again today, and would like to draw your attention to the latest edition of
Broadcast weekly on
Al Jazeera. As far as critical analysis of the international media is concerned, you are unlikely to find a program which has more depth to it than this one. In this week’s episode, the question coming under the spotlight is to what extent the media is complicit in covering up ever growing levels of inequality in our societies, and, if so, why particularly the corporate media remains rather silent on these pressing matters.
The exchange between Rutger Bregman and Tucker Carlson is a case in point; I invite you to take the time and watch
this program here.
